Three community workers die after car runs into Pathum Thani temple

At 5:40am this morning, Pathum Thani police were called to Wat Permthan to investigate an incident in which three men died after their car struck the temple’s pavilion.

Upon arrival at the Wat, police discovered a white Toyota Vigo pickup truck covered with cement debris. The vehicle had allegedly run into a pillar of the pavilion, making its roof collapse onto its cabin. Police said that the vehicle’s three passengers – 26-year-old Sitthiphong Kiewcha-am, 27-year-old Suphat Songchom and 32-year-old Jare Boonvieng – died instantly.

One witness told police that three men were community workers who went out to find food late last night. The accident occurred as they were speeding back to work, Dailynews reported.
