Yingluck asks for clarifications before passage of THB2.2 trillion transportation bill

Yesterday, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra met with several agencies involved in the creation of the THB2.2 trillion transportation infrastructure bill to insist that the bill’s details be clear before the project moves forward.

Though the infrastructure projects that would be funded by the bill have been laid out in full, the PM reaffirmed that all the legislation’s details, including requirements for environmental impact studies, must be clear before it is submitted to the Cabinet this Tuesday.

The Nation reports that as of the present, four high-speed rail routes and 10 mass-transit routes within the Bangkok area are slated for funding as part of the legislation.
