Looks like massive American deal website Groupon be open for business Thailand soon, as its Thai website has gone live.
Right now it’s just a landing page to sign up for notification of when Groupon fully launches though.
The news was broken by Thai IT site ThumbsUp and The Next Web Asia Editor Jon Russell, who also spotted that the Chicago-based site was looking to hire in Thailand with LinkedIn posts.
Groupon will face stiff competition in Thailand from Ensogo, which currently dominates the daily deal landscape in Thailand with over 90 percent market share according to CEO Tom Srivorakul. Ensogo is owned by probably Groupon’s biggest rival in the US and round the world, LivingSocial.
