Passport seekers won’t have to wake at dawn or hire homeless people to hold their place in the endless queue.
With a backlog of passport applications still to process after its operations were “shutdown” by protests, the Consular Affairs Office launched an online reservation system yesterday.
Thai passport seekers can book their appointment online and then only need show up 30 minutes in advance at offices in the Bang Na and Pinklao districts of Bangkok, as well as Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, Udon Thani, Songkhla and Yala provinces.
Applicants can view the conditions and book online here.
