One of 40 Miss Universe Thailand finalists reveals she was forced to quit the competition last week after the pageant committee saw her naughty tweet.
In a Thairath story today, Fongpikul “Top” Thonglim said she found two penis photos on the internet and shared them on her Twitter account for fun.
“Actually, I totally forgot about it. It was a joke between me and my friends a long time ago,” Top explained. “I took the photos from the internet.”
Yet the penises were nothing compared to her own caption that probably drove the pageant committee to drop her from the contest on April 29.
“Yes, there was a caption. It said ‘Wanna get some ice-cream?'” Top said.
Besides her naughty tweet, Top related the committee also told her they were not pleased with her sexy tweets showing her wearing a bikini.
Condemning a woman for appearing sexy, especially in a swimsuit, is ultra-weird, considering that’s exactly what the contest asks them to do – look sexy and walk confidently in a bikini.
“They saw my Twitter account, and they thought wearing a two-piece suit was not appropriate,” Top says “They even asked me to pay THB30,000 and resign from the competition, but I told them I didn’t have the money. In the end, I didn’t pay.”
The only comment from Miss Universe Thailand, released to the media, was that Top resigned on her own will.
