Designer Dialogue: Illustrator Pomme Chan’s perception of art

Illustrator Pomme Chan is best known for her imaginative, felt-tip style drawings. Chan believes art is subjective, and the perception of an artwork varies with each person. As an artist, she simply appreciates when people look at her art and feel some reaction to the work, whether they like it or not.

Inspired by nature and music, Pomme Chan says her artwork starts with hand-drawing and is driven by her emotions. In years to come, she hopes to continue working as a fine artist and running her businesses, which so far include a cafe and Thailand’s first illustration agency.
