Thai woman accuses former Taiwanese pop star ‘Vic F4’ of rape

A Thai woman held a press conference this afternoon where she claimed she was allegedly raped by Vic Chou, the Taiwanese actor and former member of boyband “F4,” popular in the 2000s.

The woman, who only identified by her nickname “Pear,” told the press this afternoon she had been raped and then ignored by the 34-year-old Taiwanese heartthrob, who previously was idolized by Thai teens.

At the turn of the century, images of Taiwan’s F4 boys were hung from the bedroom walls and stuck to the notepads of many students.

Pear said she met Vic in 2009, and that they entered into a relationship a year later.

“I knew Vic through a friend in Taiwan… we were hanging out… but then we started talking more,” she said. “We met at a pub and we talked. Then we were texting. We didn’t really get to see each other much.”

Asked about their relationship, Pear said it was strictly behind closed doors because of Vic’s celebrity status.

“Because we could not reveal about our relationship, when we met, we always met in a private room. Well, he’s famous in his country.”

“But you said you were raped?” a member of the press asked.

“Yes that’s correct. It happened a year after [we met]. At first we didn’t trust each other, you know… there’s tension between men and women. But after hanging out with a group of friends, he started [the relationship] by saying I should come see him.”

Pear described how the alleged rape took place.

“He made excuses when I came over. He told me to sit at the bed. He told me to lie down but I wouldn’t, so he started slow.”

Pear had given an earlier interview with Amada World where she said she was “only raped at first” and seemed to imply that the relationship then became consensual.

“Honestly, we did it a lot,” she told Amada World.

“At first, you could say it was rape, but after two times, it was okay. Then I started to feel good about him. He was caring and nice. We didn’t use protection.”

Later at the press conference, she said the last time she saw Vic was in June 2015 when he came to Thailand to film the movie “Go Lala Go.”

She later found out that she was pregnant and had a miscarriage two months later.

But she didn’t tell Vic about the pregnancy and miscarriage until December, when his elopement with Taiwanese model and actress Reen Yu hit headlines. Pear claims he ignored her.

When asked why she was now holding a press conference, she said she wanted to answer further questions the public might have about her rape claims.

“I only heard people who talk about me, so I’d like to answer the questions that you’ve been all curious about.”

“I feel bad, but I’ve been through worse.”
