Love is in the air: Man proposes to girlfriend on Bangkok Airways flight (VIDEO)

A Thai woman has shared a video of her marriage proposal in which her husband-to-be staged the surprise of her life on a Bangkok Airways flight.

As the couple were on flight G711, which departed from Bangkok to Maldives on Tuesday, Artiya Janaram was unaware of what was coming when her boyfriend excused himself to go to the bathroom.

Suddenly romantic music started playing and the captain made a very special announcement.

“Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. This is our special announcement. Today the weather is clear and it’s a very special day for one particular couple.

“Bangkok Airways and the crew would like to congratulate the bride- and groom-to-be. Khun Artiya, Khun Jedsada has something to ask you…”

And just like that, her boyfriend returned to their seats with white roses in his hand.

“We’ve been together for a long time, and I’ve never asked you for anything,” Jedsada said.

“So, can I spend the rest of my life with you and grow old with you? Marry me.”

The passengers and flight attendants applauded and Artiya burst into happy tears.

“Thank you for letting me know I chose the right man. I love you so much. I promise to be a good wife. I won’t complain. I’ll be cute, and I won’t have more plastic surgery!” Artiya wrote in the caption for the video, which has since gone viral.

It looks like the couple got started on their pre-wedding photoshoots in the Maldives. Congratulations Artiya and Jedsada
