Student activists expected to be freed today will be held until tomorrow morning, authorities said.
The pro-democracy students who were detained since June 26 were ordered released after a court rejected a police request to extend their detention, however they must first complete their 12-day detention, according to Aryut Sinthopphan, warden of the Bangkok Remand Prison.
He said the activists were expected to be free at 6am on Wednesday, Bangkok Post reported.
