Buakaw Banchamek attended graduation rehearsal this morning at a university in Surin province which has bestowed an honorary doctorate upon the fighter for his prowess in the Muay Thai arts.
Instead of just showing up for five minutes on the big day, the 32-year-old fighter happily traveled to Surindra Rajabhat University to try out his graduation gown and take pictures with his family at the rehearsal prior to Friday’s commencement ceremony.
The university will honor him then with an advanced degree in Regional Development Strategies. Can we nominate him for an advanced degree in sincerity?
The Surin native was selected by the university as a positive and popular athlete role model in the Thai and the international sports industry. He was also praised for representing Thai culture via Muay Thai arts.
When you’re at the top, these kind of honorary degrees tend to pile up. Last year the fighter was granted a Master’s degree in Sports Science from Kasetsart University, Thairath reported.
