2 more bombs explode near Hua Hin clock tower, 5 wounded

After two bombs went off last night in Hua Hin’s nightlife district, killing one and injuring 19 more, two more bombs exploded this morning at 9am in the town’s center and five more people have been injured.

The local Hua Hin Market Village and Tesco Lotus have closed and Hua Hin police have asked locals to stay in their homes.

These two latest blasts happened in the area of the Hua Hin clock tower, just after a Mother’s Day ceremony had ended there.

The event finished at 8am and the first bomb exploded at about 9am. The second detonated just a few minutes later. The blast injured four men and one woman. Reportedly, one of the people is in critical condition, according to Bangkok Post.

A third bomb was found on a parked motorcycle near Wat Hua Hin at 10am but explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) workers destroyed it before it could do any damage.
